Quick Meets
The season loop runs on a schedule — days advance, results land, and between those moments there’s nothing to press. Quick Meets are the answer: a one-off exhibition race you can enter at any hour, for cash, that resolves as soon as enough clubs have joined.
Find them under Competitions → Quick Meets.
How a queue works
Section titled “How a queue works”There is one permanently open queue for every discipline and gender — 38 in all. You enter one athlete into a queue and pay the entry fee. When the queue reaches 8 athletes from 8 different clubs, the meet runs immediately: a straight final, prize money out of the pooled fees, and a result in every entrant’s inbox. The queue then empties and reopens at 0/8.
The field is hidden. You see the discipline, the gender, the fee and how full the queue is — never who’s in it. You’re committing blind, and so is everyone else, which is what makes the result worth opening.
Because a queue needs 8 different clubs, you can’t fill a field with your own roster, and a quiet queue may sit half-full for a while. That’s normal — nothing expires.
Entering
Section titled “Entering”To enter, an athlete must be on your roster, not retired, match the queue’s gender, and not already be waiting in another queue. Your club also needs the fee in credits, and may have at most one athlete in any given queue.
The entry fee is 200 credits.
Prize money
Section titled “Prize money”Every fee goes into a pool. A small cut is taken out of circulation, and the rest pays the top three:
| Finish | Prize | Net of your entry fee |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 720 | +520 |
| 2nd | 430 | +230 |
| 3rd | 290 | +90 |
| 4th–8th | — | −200 |
Only the podium profits. Enter an athlete who can’t win their queue and you’re paying for the privilege — so quick meets reward knowing exactly how good your athletes are.
What a quick meet does not do
Section titled “What a quick meet does not do”Quick meets are exhibitions, and they are walled off from the season on purpose:
- No records. Not national or world records, and not even personal or season bests. A blistering quick meet run never enters the record books and never affects championship qualification.
- No division points. Nothing here touches the league table.
- No experience. Athletes don’t develop from quick meets.
- No fatigue, condition or form change. Racing a quick meet costs your athlete nothing physically — it doesn’t drain condition, and it neither builds nor burns form.
They show up in an athlete’s history in a separate section, clearly labelled as exhibition results, and never carry a record badge.
What still matters
Section titled “What still matters”Your athlete’s current form and condition do count toward the result — a rusty or exhausted athlete runs like one. The meet reads their state without changing it, so a quick meet is an honest look at where an athlete is right now.
Withdrawing and refunds
Section titled “Withdrawing and refunds”- Withdraw any time before the queue fills, for a full refund. Since you can’t see the field, there’s nothing to duck out of.
- If an athlete leaves your club — retired, transferred or released — their queue entry is cancelled and the fee refunded.
- At season rollover, every queue is emptied and every waiting entry refunded, so nothing carries into the new season.
Quick meets and sponsors
Section titled “Quick meets and sponsors”Quick meets aren’t purely a side pot. Some sponsor pass challenges — generally the volume and breadth ones, never the “when it counts” championship ones — accept quick meet podiums and wins alongside official results. That makes an idle afternoon a way to chip at your sponsor track, which is the point of having both.
Next: the season-long goal track those results feed — Sponsor passes.
